With The Gods was founded by Shaun Barker and Paul Anthony McGregor. Originally conceived by Paul who felt that he was uniquely placed, having been a professional footballer for 11 years and having invested in a handful of streetwear brands, to make the assertion that football club merchandise had ''become lazy'' and that there was a market for a unisex, bespoke to club, trend conscious, reactive T-shirt brand that reflected what the fans were actually wearing to the games, or wearing day to day for that matter. The idea was that that With The Gods' collections were to be sold exclusively by the clubs themselves, effectively bringing top end high street to the club superstore.
At the start of the 2014/15 season, funded by Shaun, the boys trialled the brand with several bespoke collections for Derby County Football Club. This was invaluable as they worked out what worked and what didn't. Due to the demand and success of the first few months of this trial the brand was quickly rolled out to Sheffield United FC, Rotherham United FC and Chesterfield FC. To date we have designed for and expand into just shy of 50 professional sporting clubs.
With The Gods is now a collective of ambitious creatives that include a unique clash of professional footballers both current and ex and graphic designers. We create bespoke print collections for clubs in The Premier League, The Scottish Premier League, The Championship and Leagues 1 and 2. We have also created collections for teams within The Rugby Premiership and The Elite Hockey League. Our design team include designers that have previously designed for Paul Smith, ASOS, All Saints and TopMan to name but a few.
Alongside our work within the world of professional sport, With The Gods have designed a collection for Experience Nottinghamshire, designed Eddie Izzard's ''Stand Up For Europe'' campaign T-shirt and designed a fundraising tee for PubhD.
All With The Gods clothing is entirely UK manufactured and they are located equidistant between Derby and Nottinghamshire to take full advantage of the area's rich history in textile, print and clothing manufacturing.
